Encore Presentation of Hawthorne: An Oral History - Monday, August 11th
Greetings members and friends of the Hawthorne Historical Society – we hope you are having a terrific summer!
We are happy to announce the encore screening of the Historical Society’s DVD, Hawthorne: An Oral History, Part 1. The screening is free and open to the public at the Louis Bay 2nd Memorial Library, Monday, August 11th at 7pm. We’ll also have on display items from our Louis Bay collection, as well as from our Stained Glass Window project and more. Refreshments will be served. We hope you can join us for an entertaining and informative evening.
Plus – mark your calendars – we are beginning production for the DVD Part 2. On Saturday, August 23rd, beginning at 10am, we will be interviewing long-time residents interested in sharing their stories for inclusion in the next installment of the series.
If you or someone you know is willing to volunteer to appear on camera to recount their Hawthorne stories for future generations, please let us know! (and bring them to the Aug. 11th showing if they are hesitant so they can see what it’s like in the end).
Thanks for helping preserve the history of Hawthorne!
