3rd Annual Hawthorne Historical Society Holiday Open House Set for December 8th
The Hawthorne Historical Society will hold its third annual Holiday Open House at the Louis Bay II Library on Monday, December 8, at 7 PM. This year, the event will feature a presentation by Phil Jaeger, a local historian and a trustee of the Passaic County Historical Society, entitled: “The Passaic River: 81 Miles of History.”
Light refreshments will be served. All residents and friends are welcome to attend.
The Holiday Open House is one of the Society’s biggest events of the year. Past events have included book signings with local authors, and screenings of the Society’s Oral History Project DVD featuring current and former Hawthorne residents speaking about their long-time memories of the borough. Copies of the DVD, along with other Historical Society memorabilia will be available for purchase.
The Hawthorne Historical Society meets the second Monday of every month at 7p at the Louis Bay 2nd library and community center. All are welcome. For further information contact Jeff Gardner at 973-951-7081.
